What is a "Victory Garden"?

A Victory Garden is an excellent way to boost morale while simultaneously calming the spirit of those who grow them.

During WW1 and WW2, it seemed the entire planet was under great distress! Governments around the world encouraged people to plant their Victory Gardens to supplement food shortages. Then, something amazing happened! People soon discovered there was an unexpected emotional benefit.

The process of preparing and growing plants gave individuals, families as well as entire communities a powerful sense of peace - a feeling of unity against the constant fears and threats of the time.

Today, we are all experiencing similar feelings of anxiety and insecurity.

At JewelVision Publishing, we would like to announce the return of the "Victory Garden" to people worldwide. Now is the time to prepare for victory!

As it states in my book "Cotton, the little plant that snored", Mother Nature has a plan for us all… a plan that could turn out to be much bigger than anyone may have ever imagined.

So, whether it's a few small plants or several, you deserve your own personal Victory Garden. For a healthy mind, body, and soul experience that you, or your family, will never forget! And the great thing about it is… it's so easy to do!

Plants can be grown just about anywhere: parks, roadways, backyards, patios, or even on a small balcony in the city. These little angels will pretty much grow themselves. I've seen them sprout out of cracks in solid concrete!

Suppose you love beautiful flowers or tasty vegetables such as corn, radishes, and carrots. Maybe you've always wanted to grow healthy herbs such as mint, basil, rosemary, or dill? How about delicious fruits like strawberries, melons, or tomatoes? Your imagination is the limit, my friends.

Depending on space, you can start with one pot or an entire plot! Containers are probably the best way to begin learning the magic of Nature. They can be indoors or outdoors. Once your little "family members" have grown, they can be easily transplanted with the season to a larger area if you so desire?

You'll find that your local Nursery or growers are extremely helpful at guiding you to success. Make a shortlist of questions, then ask the information person for advice. You'll begin to see your very own, nutritionally rich, "sprouts of joy" springing to life in no time at all.

You can even design your own pots to match your personality.
